An Evening at Balthazar

Sometimes there's simply nothing better than an evening of French fare in good company.
Monday evening we ventured out to Manhattan establishment Balthazar for a special celebration. It was an evening we had been looking forward to for months, especially since French cuisine is probably our favorite of all. It never fails to impress me how the French making the simple taste absolutely magnificent.
Highlights of our meal included the Steak Tartare, Blanquette de Limoux sparkling wine, and my longtime favorite; crème brûlée. If I could eat one meal the rest of my life, this would surely be it.
Although I still think France Soir, our go-to French restaurant in Melbourne, is ideal for the most authentic French taste and experience, but what makes Balthazar--and really any great restaurant--enjoyable, is the consistency in service and quality of food each and every time you visit.
